    Welcome, my name is Yulanda Kirklin and I am so glad to share with you how the Kirklin's Nite Owl developed and what we offer.  I'm a certified Teacher for more than 20+ years, that's right I came straight out of high school when I begin my journey in childcare. I have worked in childcare in two different states and more locally in Fayetteville and Fort Bragg, NC. I've had the experience to own a in home daycare before through Fort Bragg in 2005, had to relocate afterwards.

I enjoy working with children and always have, it's been a passion of mine as long as I could remember. I graduated from FTCC with my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and I am currently working towards finishing my BA at FSU in Birth-Kindergarten.

I'm also a mother of five beautiful children whom I strive to be the best parent to them as possible each day. I am married going on 20 years to my high school sweetheart Jamel Kirklin Sr. whom just retired from the military two years ago.

    Working in childcare for all those years has developed growth, experience, gratitude, endearment, knowledge, strength, perseverance, appreciation, and the list goes on. I developed a sense of wanting more than what I was pursuing in this career, I want to give back to my community as well as take care of my children. Overtime, I have seen families struggle with balancing it all, including myself. I had to work here and there to make ends meet and at the same time follow my heart and dedicate myself to others even when I felt at times giving up because I also wanted to be with my very own children and watch them grow up without missing anything. I've seen all those sacrifices parents had to make and believe it or not people judge their parenting based on those sacrifices to make ends meet. I have also seen families torn apart during the process. But not only they are, but so are the children, and their families.

   You see the Kirklin's Nite Owl developed because of those selfless sacrifices, it developed because we need to find a way to  work together to keep our families together and stronger for our children. The Kirklin's Nite Owl is not only community service to helping in childcare, but it offers much more. I am a family oriented person who strongly believe in keeping families together, I wanted to open up my home to families who work night shifts and want their children to be carefully watch over without the worries.   Kirklin's Nite Owl is not your typical 24hr daycare because as a mother I too also love spending time with my family. Kirklin's Nite Owl offers extended hours, a safe learning secured, nurturing, and family lifestyle environment for those who need childcare during the day and at night, or for other special occasions. We also serve hot meals  and snacks.  We do not have many childcare program that offer after hour childcare services this late and there is a great need as we can see. This is what Kirklin's Nite Owl has to offer and this is also how it developed. I want to thank you all for considering my childcare services.
